Deanna McFarlane’s working experience spans the fields of banking, commerce, manufacturing, construction, marketing and business training.
As a Business Development Consultant, she specializes in business operation efficiency evaluations, strategic business planning, feasibility studies, Marketing Plans complete with the budget to implement, and business plan development complete with financial projections. She also provides MSME Mentorship for clients.
Deanna McFarlane is a perceptive Business Development Trainer, who is able effectively to share information and keep her audience engaged. She provides training in Business Management, Marketing & Sales, Financial Management, Costing and Pricing, Ethics and Customer Service.
Deanna McFarlane was the first female president of the Small Business Association of Jamaica and served in that post for two terms. She has served on the boards of several organizations including PSOJ, JNIP, JNEC, JETCO, IICA and NDFJ and her passion is to contribute to the economic development of Jamaica by providing analytical services, strategic planning and business development support to the business sector.
Deanna holds a BSC in Management with Economics and a Master’s Degree in Leadership, Innovation & Change. She is certified and accredited as a “Business Development Adviser” by the International Trade Corporation (ITC) in their Business Management Systems (BMS) and in the use of their tools for assessing and evaluating businesses. In 2010 she was trained by IIC/IDB & Department of Commerce, Washington D.C as a Trainer in Business Ethics and is a Hospitality Assured Advisor to the Tourism Sector.
Deanna is a trained Project Manager and has completed several short courses to enhance her vast experience in business consulting.
